Unpredictable.
But our life can also be an opportunity, and we won't have that opportunity for long.
On the negative I have noticed on my recent shopping life is also inflation :-(
when i was a jobo, i used to thing of 'life without end at laaaasssssst'.. having been on my journey out of the wbt$ slaveholdery, i have found that something that makes sense is that life doesn't owe us a meaning.
psalms 146:4 was actually bangeth on the money-eth 'his breath goeth forth, he returneth to his earth; in that very day his thoughts perish.'.
although i am now very atheist, and really do not even think there is the remotest possibility of a god, that bible passage is correct.
Unpredictable.
But our life can also be an opportunity, and we won't have that opportunity for long.

as a witness i now realise how little control we really had over our life.
therefore naturally upon leaving everything became less certain.
this is because really leaving only happened when i let go of that past.
Yes so true Xanthippe, I have entered a community/ society where woman have more equal rights, sexual orientation is not a barrier, education is encouraged. The unique differences in individuals and beliefs has been liberating.
as a witness i now realise how little control we really had over our life.
therefore naturally upon leaving everything became less certain.
this is because really leaving only happened when i let go of that past.
As a witness I now realise how little control we really had over our life. Therefore naturally upon leaving everything became less certain. This is because really leaving only happened when I let go of that past. Being able to live in the present moment with a healthy attitude and speak ones own thoughts is something to treasure.
Do I have anxiety about the future?
Yes of course, but the difference is I am doing the things I want today & tomorrow and this includes spending days at home with my family, which I certainly consider better than attending meetings, door knocking ect. As for the long time future, aging, illness, death, that's just part of life, so rather than fear it and panic, I simply choose to live in the present. Not knowing the future, is not something to fear, it's just a reminder to enjoy today.
As for Christmas, I think it funny last year I was celebrating it for my son, but this year I am also celebrating it because it connects me with my new friends, my neighbourhood and I don't want to stand out against it all and be different. Some things never change and I guess I have just found a more tolerant community to conform with.
So my advice when you decide to leave, find another community to integrate yourself in to, as the bible said " it's not good for man to live alone" and this is true, but as I am an athiest perhaps I should quote the poet John Donne " No man is an island"
what are my new communities, my football club, my pub friends, my wider circle of friends from leaving.
Great painting Xanthippe.
Rebelfighter " I just think we are born with some amazing talents and I enjoy seeing every one getting the most out of these talents"
I agree rebelfighter, which is why I wish I could re-name this thread " Our Talents" because a talent is an art, be it cooking, cleaning, reading, breathing, even thinking it's all a created form of expression/ art.
i may be reading more into this than is there, but here is what i've spotted from today's watchtower study (oct 2016 study edition) page 14 paragraph 8. concerning daniel it says "thus, some 70 years after his arrival in babylon, he was still known by his hebrew name" referring to an event in the first year of darius ie 539/538 bce.
however, according to the wtbts chronology daniel went to babylon in 617 bce - more like 80 years earlier.
could this (finally) be a step towards ditching 607?.
Every factual statement made by the W.T ends up requiring reading more in to it than the original interpretation. As for your O.P " possible new light on 70 years" I would say highly probable. Why waste our time with these manipulators, when we know they know it's bullshit....just walk away.
I have come a long way since my first post on this board, right or wrong questions on right or wrong now bore me. Anyway outside of life and its complicated bullshit,I think it nice if we can be enthusiastic about something, about anything ...Cofty has his metal detecting, I occasionally have my art. Yes I have my football, my son, my wife but we all need something that is OUR ALONE TIME, a hobby, what's yours?
p.s I thank the internet for giving me this opportunity to present my Art .Even if only on this thread.I really appreciate that gift, because it's my art, and I think it wonderful that I was given that opportunity.
Anyone growing up before the internet will understand the above comment, and thanks to modern technology here is your opportunity.
FadeToBlack good question. I saw a film in which an artist painted a portrait of a beautiful woman, he then hid the painting behind a brick wall.
As for why I paint,or write on this board I think all forms of physical expression are a weary pain . For example to write on this board, we have gone through negative experiences which is why we are here. Why do we post? I mean It's putting ourself out their risking negative feed back, but we do it? I call that Art.But that hasn't answered the why? I think real artists have no choice, they create all the time, as for people like me, I realize my limits, and it's just a hobby as opposed to watchingT.V
Of course it's also nice if people like my posts, my art, me as a person, but It's not so important, you have to be pretty thick skinned when you leave the witnesses.
I think the bottle flip challenge is art, I mean first you flip a bottle and with practice it finally lands wrong side up, then with further practice you get better and think up individual new challenges and ways to flip a bottle.
Has anyone seen Dude perfect on you tube?I think those guys are artists.
DeseriousofChange, point taken.
I visited the Tate Mdern on the day it opened, a section that you walked through between galleries, had a decorators ladder, paint tins and protection covers on the floor. I noticed most didn't realize it was part of the art. I also loved how the Chinese were obsessed by Deshampes urinal.
A clue as to who painted the second one, I like circles I think they have a calming effect and force the viewer in to a painting.
p.s part time artists please be courageous and submit your Art.
Thanks for your comments and observations OrphanCrow. What you perceived as the frames on the second painting are my curtains, therefore they are not from a gallery nor done by a world famous artist.
:- However was the second one done by my 11 year old son or me?
p.s OrphanCrow your work belongs in a gallery hence the like.
As this thread has received zero interest, let me ask a question,
Q) Who did the above masterpieces myself or a world famous artist?
